Chris Brown has issued a statement a week after his arrest for an alleged assault on girlfriend Rihanna.
The Forever singer said: “Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired.”
He continued: “I am seeking the counselling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person.”
Issued through Associated Press the statement added: “I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds.”
Chris has so far been booked only for making ‘criminal threats’ and released on a $50,000 bail.
In other developments Rihanna’s father told People magazine that his daughter has not split up from Chris Brown.

It took him exactly a week but disgraced R&B star Ike Turner Chris Brown has released his first statement since his fists and teeth sank into girlfriend Rihanna’s face and body last Sunday morning in Los Angeles.
“Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person.”
“Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else.”
Like all public figures who get caught killing dogs (Michael Vick), sleeping with hookers (Eliot Spitzer), or worse, Chris Brown calls on God and attempts to make us believe he is truly sorry by calling on the name of God.
